If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from Beacon Health and Wellness LLC, you may opt out of such communications by unsubscribe. Beacon Health and Wellness LLC may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Beacon Health and Wellness LLC and its affiliates. 

  

Sharing Information with Third Parties

While we do maintain some paper health records, most of your personal health information here at Beacon Health and Wellness is stored electronically, primarily in “AthenaHealth” - our clinical information system. We implemented AthenaHealth as a tool to improve patient care, to facilitate timely communication within your care team, and to support access to patient information in one secure and private system. Anyone authorized by Beacon Health and Wellness to access, use, or handle personal health information must complete training, sign confidentiality agreements, and commit to appropriate use of your information every time they sign into the AthenaHealth system. Access to AthenaHealth is provided solely for authorized healthcare or authorized administrative purposes, or where permitted or required by law and is complaint with HIPPA laws.

 

E-mails, Cell Phones, Texts, and Faxes:

It is very important to be aware that unencrypted emails, texts, and e-fax communications can be rather easily accessed by unauthorized people and, hence, can compromise the privacy and confidentiality of such communications. Emails, texts, and e-faxes, in particular, are vulnerable to such unauthorized access due to the fact that servers or communication companies may have unlimited and direct access to all emails, texts and e-faxes that go through them. Also, be aware that phone messages are transcribed and may be sent to the clinicians of and/or Beacon Health and Wellness LLC via unencrypted emails. Please notify us if you decide to avoid or limit, in any way, the use of electronic communications.
